One of the most exciting things about going to Peru recently and spending time in the Amazon Basin, right in the jungle, was the amazing experience of biodiversity like I had never seen anywhere else in the world. It is amazing how huge things grow out there, and how many different species of everything there really is. It's a circus in there.

Nothing Compares to the Real * Sacred Work Weekend
Ah :) I am feeling so much better after a truly blessed weekend. I am actually really surprised that I could be cheered up as much as I was this weekend... but a lot of you have been holding me in your prayers, and so i probably shouldn't be surprised, that the light flooded back in and I came back to life.

One of the most profound things that happened to me in the jungle this winter, was that I happened to pick up an amazing book written by Zen Master Seung Sahn. Sahn went into the mountains sometime in the 50's and during a grueling 100 day meditation, reached enlightenment, and learned "the secrets of life and death". This was confirmed by 3 other zen masters.
