In my experiments with recipes, I've come up with a few useful tips :

- don't set yourself up to have too much of a good thing

- when making desserts, make them so healthy that you could eat them for breakfast

- try to pack as much nutrition as you can into a small space

So voila! Here you have the angelic superfood granola bombs. These are a delicious dessert, but they are also a great breakfast. They are a perfect compliment to your morning oatmeal, or they can be enjoyed straight up just like mini bliss balls, or just with unsweetened almond milk. Soon I'm going to make a mega morning oatmeal recipe that these would go perfectly in.

The Ingredients List :

Please note, everything in this recipe should be organic, if you can. Why? Well, in the words of David Wolfe :

In 1993, Doctor's Data Lab of Chicago conducted a study published in the Journal of Applied Nutrition (Vol. 45, Issue # 1). For over two years, researchers collected foods such as apples, corn, peas, and potatoes from organic foods stores and regular supermarkets in the Chicago area, just like a typical shopper. Their lab test results showed that, by weight, organic produce contained at least twice the nutritional mineral content of regular supermarket produce, and far less dangerous heavy-metal residues, such as aluminum, lead, and mercury.

However, that is just from a nutritional perspective. Non-organic agriculture is incredibly bad for the environment. I'm sorry I don't have my sources right here, but if you really don't believe me I can look it up and give you some impressive facts about that too. If I am to claim that these granola balls are truly ANGELIC... then I should back that up.

- 2 cups almonds

- 2 cups brazil nuts

- 3/4 cup coconut oil

- 5 tbsp cinnamon

- 2 scoops powdered (prefferably green) stevia (or to taste)

- 1.5 scoops raw cacao (or to taste)

- 1/2 scoop maca

- 1/3 cup hemp hearts

- 1 tsp himalayan sea salt

- 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

- 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk

- a tiny splash of peppermint extract oil

Some health information about super foods :

Cacao (Raw Chocolate) — The seed/nut of a fruit of an Amazonian tree, cacao is the highest antioxidant food on the planet, the #1 source of antioxidants, magnesium, iron, manganese, and chromium and is also extremely high in PEA, theobromine (cardiovascular support), and anandamide ("bliss chemical"). Raw Chocolate improves cardiovascular health, builds strong bones, is a natural aphrodisiac, elevates your mood and energy, and increases longevity.

Maca — A staple in the Peruvian Andes for thousands of years, this adaptogenic superfood increases energy, endurance, strength, and libido. Dried maca powder contains more than 10% protein, nearly 20 amino acids, including 7 essential amino acids. As a root crop, maca contains five times more protein than a potato and four times more fiber.

Hemp Products eaten in their RAW form — Hemp seeds are packed with 33% pure digestible protein, and are rich in iron, amino acids, and vitamin E as well as omega-3's and GLA. Hemp is a perfect food for growing children and adults looking to increase protein intake.

- David Wolfe

Instructions on how to make it :

Ideally, this recipe takes 2 - 3 days. First step is soaking your nuts at least 3 hours but prefferably overnight.

Then, take all the ingredients except the coconut and the stevia and put them in the food processor. You want your coconut oil to be about room temperature so that it easily gets blended in with the other food. If it's too hard straight from the fridge, you'll have a problem. Press GO on the food processor, and as it's churning away, add a moderate amount of stevia. Keep tasting and adding stevia to taste, until it's perfect.

Depending on how firm your result is at that point, it may be a little gooey to roll into balls right away. In that case, put it in the freezer or fridge for a while till it firms up with the coconut oil and oats. Lay out your shredded coconut on a plate. Once it's a little more firm, take it out and roll into very small sized balls, then roll them individually in the coconut and place them on your final dish.

The final step is to put them in the freezer overnight, where they will firm up to the perfect state. After that, you can put them in the fridge to store them, they do not have to be stored frozen.

VOILA *))) Enjoy !!!

While there, we co:workshopped on a variety of interesting topics, which I'm excited to slowly blog about bit by bit. One of the most interesting to me, which was my main goal for going to that place, was the method of generating a hologenetic profile. This is something that Keala first did for me, and which I will now be offering for free to some of my friends. You can do it too, if you're interested!

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, learn a little more about the book, THE GENE KEYS here. Essentially, the Gene Keys book contains 64 Gene Keys, each containing profound information about the evolutionary sequence embedded into our DNA. It reveals our destiny in an open, poetic way, that contains huge relevance for personal evolution. Although this key is longer than the others, and perhaps in a way, more epic, here is an example key : This is the most important key, which the author of the book, Richard Rudd, gave to the world as a free offering - the 55th Gene Key.

The Hologenetic Profile Reveals your 4 PRIME GIFTS. Essentially, the Prime Gifts are a sequence of 4 Gene Keys that strongly relate to an individual's unique evolutionary path in life. Of course, for any given person, all 64 of the Gene Keys has profound relevance in some way... but the Prime Gifts are like the 4 pillars of an overall structure of your makeup. Based on your unique birth time and location, your hologenetic "astrology" positions you with these 4 keys in a particular stream of relevance to your journey.

Here is an overview of each of the 4 Prime Gifts quoted from The Golden Path :

Your Life's Work

Your Life's Work speaks to what you are here to manifest in life, the ideal arena of your external work in the world. When you are free to express yourself creatively and without compromise, when you are in touch with your true nature, and open to experiencing the heart of your fears, you naturally come into your power and share your magnificent gifts with the people around you.

Your Evolution Point

Your Evolution Point, in direct opposition to your Life's Work, reflects the single greatest challenge in your life, that place where you suffer most. Over time, as you learn to face and ultimately embrace this Gene Key and all that it encompasses, you will find yourself growing, maturing and thriving beyond your wildest dreams.

Your Radiance

While your Life's Work and Evolution Point reveal what you're here to consciously manifest in the world around you, your Radiance and Purpose are what naturally bloom as a result of that manifestation. Your Radiance is a hidden gift, ready to be discovered. It is deeply connected to your physical, emotional and mental health. While its Shadow can weaken your immune system and capacity for joy, its Gift frequency can bring you tremendous vitality and love.

Your Purpose (Weaving it all together)

Also beneath the surface, your Purpose lies hidden deep within your DNA. The more you live as yourself and trust in your dreams, the more you open your heart and share your gifts, the more you'll find your life just magically falling into place. When your Purpose has been awakened, or “unlocked,” your life becomes a dance of sacred synchronicity.

How to Generate Your Hologenetic Profile

As an example, let's take a look at my hologenetic profile, which I generated with my own template. Here is a link to the full PDF. Here is a close up of the first page of it, for your visual reference :

The first step is to go to this link : Get Your Free Rave Chart. Here is mine as an example :

So, for anyone who's ever had their complete astrological chart done up for them, this is a similar system. The graph that you see, of the human body essentially, is based on the Human Design system for understanding the human destiny weave and genetic evolutionary pathways. It's very complicated, and most people find it incredibly overwhelming... however, in my limited experience of researching and understanding it, I have found the process very fun and resonant.

Below the rave chart information, when you see your results on the Jovian Archive website, they do offer a series of awesome videos that totally demystify your rave chart and begin to explain these graphs. Go for it if you're interested. Richard Rudd found their system a little inaccessable and overly complex, which is part of why he channelled the Gene Keys, and brought through this more fundamental teaching of the 4 pillars, and the Hologenetic Profile sequence. But I enjoyed the videos a lot.

If you study the above two profiles for me, you will notice 4 main correspondences.

HUMAN DESIGN RAVE CHART : Gene Keys Hologenetic Profile

PERSONALITY / SUN = Life's Work (58.3)

PERSONALITY / EARTH = Evolution (52.3)

DESIGN / SUN = Radiance (18.5)

DESIGN / EARTH = Purpose (17.5)

Essentially, what this means is that my Life's Work corresponds to Gene Key 58, my Evolution corresponds to Gene Key 52, my Radiance corresponds to Gene Key 18 and my Purpose corresponds to Gene Key 17. You can just ignore the decimal amounts, they are not relevant to this particular study.

Exploring Your Keys

The next step to generating your hologenetic profile, is to source out the Gene Keys in your profile in the Gene Keys book. The book contains a chapter on each of the 64 Keys that can potentially come out in your chart, so of course, I encourage reading each of your 4 keys. But for a quick reference, the book also comes with a chart that shows the shadow, the gift, and the siddhi for each key. These comprise the key words that will be added to the graphic, such as the one you see above for me.

Here is the chart for your reference :

Click for larger ImageThere, so once you have the shadow, gift, and siddhi keywords for each of your 4 Prime Keys... you are all set! That's all the basic information you need to get started.

Visually Setting Up Your Profile

So, the final step for a professional looking profile, is setting it up visually on a template similar to the one you saw for me. I actually created mine as an illustrator file, which I then flatten in photoshop and convert to a PDF, then I put the two PDF's together into a multi-paged PDF. I admit it's a pretty complex process that is not very accessable. I would like to share the template as an easily editable PDF that people can just plug their information into, but for now I am not there yet.

I will be happy to share the illustrator file with trusted friends... and when the public version is ready I will update this post.

Lunaya's Love Advice For Women *)))

So, of course, naturally, I offer this advice very humbly, because I of all people have made mistakes. However, I can tell you that one of my unique gifts, inherent to my genetic frequency signature, is to learn through trial and error, and then universalize what I have learned from that process so that others can benefit. Think of me as a love scientist. I have gone through all kinds of experiments, tested the advice of others, and I will share with you now, my findings based on what did and didn't work.

This is a combination of advice that I have gotten from various books, friends and articles, mixed and remixed through my filters. Nothing here has not been tested thoroughly and processed through my inner wisdom and personal experience.

Keep in mind, this advice is intended for women, on how to attract not just any, but the perfect guy or guys magnetically to you. There is a lot of great advice out there, and this is not intended to be the whole picture, unless it resonates for you as such. I will be doing another one for men, on how to attract women, but to be honest I am not very smart about how women should attract women, or how guys should attract guys. In my experience, those scenarios vary way too much for a guidebook.

So here it is - Lunaya's advice on how to attract that guy :

Every guy secretly or not so secretly, wants an empowered woman.

I hear women all the time saying that men are afraid of and constantly shying away from powerful women. I believe that's basically a fallacy. Long story short, I would contend that the guys who are afraid of empowered, or powerful women, are just insecure, and not in a normal guy way. That kind of insecurity is not really true to a man's spirit - it's his confusion that has developed probably through life trauma, and will have to be cleared over the next year anyway. Trust me this is not the time to start a relationship with someone like that. If it keeps coming up for you, you should ask yourself if it's a reflection of yourself somehow that they are so insecure.

Of course, I just think it's worth clarifying that many Goddesses struggle with self-esteem and to cover that up they pretend to be more powerful than they are. Mostly they're pretending to themselves, so this can foster confusion about guys' reactions. Think about what it is you call "power" very carefully. Audit yourself on how genuine your power really is. For example, what's the difference between saying to someone or acting like you don't care, and being truly focused on something else in your own life that you do care about? Which brings me to my next point...

Guys are attracted to women who are already sexually satisfied in themselves and don't need them for sexual gratification.

That's where the whole cliche of playing hard to get comes from. It works when played well - but the energy behind it is not game playing and pretending not to be interested when really you are. The energy behind it is emanating that you are already satisfied in wh you are, and any man who comes into your life would only be a bonus. If you are finding that you're in a place in your life where you are YEARNING for a man to make love to you, then keep in mind, that would not be the time to cave into your desperation and start doing things you would never normally do in order to get some action... like sleep with a guy without knowing him very well, on the first date... etc. You know what I'm talking about.

My advice when you're in a place like that is to learn how to satisfy yourself sexually. I find women are way better at this than men, or at least in my limited experience, they tend to embrace the process more. If your masturbation is not satisfying you, I suggest seeing a sex therapist or erotic coach - there are wonderful coaches in every major city who can really take you to a new place in yourself sexually. That's where you want to be.

Don't ever make a move

Guys love to feel that they are the ones in control of the whole situation. Most guys would never ever admit that in a thousand years, but just watch... they love it. If they freak out, get scared, and run away at the opportunity to make whatever moves are authentic to them, then that is a bad sign about the guy. He could be sincere but too insecure to express himself fully, or he could be insincere and simply not care that much (about anything but sex). I'm not saying that women should be passive - no no. I'm saying that women can be actively passive. The restraint necessary to let your actions play forthe in such a subtle manner is a true Jedi skill. Not only does this make guys feel good, but it lets you see their true colours right away, by watching what they choose to do.

That's not to say you can't express an interest in a guy. But the kind of flirting that guys respond to is very subtle. You don't ever have to ask him out or directly express romantic interest. Just practice your mermaid eyes. Shine your light aura of "oooooh I like you". Open your heart, warm up to him. Just genuinely like him, as you do, and he will get it. And then, if he doesn't do anything, forget him. REALLY forget him (that is another passive action). Whatever you do don't rack your mind asking yourself if he picked up on your flirtation... he did, believe me. If he didn't respond, he's not your man. Remember, you don't need him. And you never know, he might think it over later, kick himself for not doing anything, and eventually approach you. It's a common occurance... cause guys do love that.

If you cannot trust him and open up to him enough to reasonably let him make all the moves, ask yourself if he's really the right guy for you. Obviously you still have a choice and free will of your own, and you can always politely decline his suggestion... but only do so when absolutely necessary or he will deflate. This shouldn't be a problem - you deserve a guy who you can let go with. If you're the usual kind of woman these days - strong, powerful, always in charge, juggling a million things - then this should be like a vacation for you. If it's a nightmare, he's definitely not the one.

Don't sleep with him too soon

Just do your best. I am the worst for that :) But the point is, the longer you keep him in courtship mode, the more time you have to ingrain good habits that will lay the right foundations for any relationship that might get started from this. Also, it gives you much more time to test him and see what a good guy he really is. Every guy acts like the greatest guy in the universe, but sadly, not every guy is. You know this - so you're watching like a hawk (without EVER letting him know that's what you're doing) to see if he really is a guy who shares your values and radiates integrity. Even if you really are only in it for sex, you should still hold out for at least a short time.

Again, this whole process can be tricky. You can't give off the impression that you're playing some kind of a game with him, or he'll feel hurt. The point is, you're not playing a game, you're just honestly trying to get a clear sense of who you're dealing with, and encourage the energy of courtship (hopefully an energy that will last long into any relationship you end up in)... it's just that you don't want to make him hyper self-conscious or uncomfortable about that fact, so you have to just hold yourself with dignity and have really clear boundaries about sex. The trick is don't TELL HIM you're not going to sleep with him for this or that long... simply act like it's obvious and don't get yourself into high risk situations that are going to lead to it... like the couch after your date, etc.

Only EVER sleep with potential relationship candidates

You may not be ready for a relationship right now, but trust me, any time you sleep with a guy, no matter HOW stern and serious you are about this being casual, the potential is always there, that regardless of all your certainty, it could turn into something more serious. You NEED to account for that by keeping the bar high in all your intimate engagements. It's a must.

He's the only man in the world

Guys want to feel like they're the only man in the world when you look at them. THE ONLY MAN IN THE WORLD. That's the number one feeling guys love the most. Don't ever try to make him jealous by flirting with his friends. It will not work, trust me. Don't ever look for guys with online dating - those guys are all super insecure and desperate. Don't ever put an add out, in the paper or on the internet. Guys do NOT want to feel like the only one of hundreds of potential suitors who came through on your shout out for casual sex. They want to feel like there is no one else in the Universe who could possibly take their place in that moment. Again... practice your mermaid eyes :) And again, go for guys who look like real candidates, even if you only want sex. It will help the mermaid eyes twinkle more.

How to handle yourself on a first date (or first kinda dates, whatever)

Generally, it's more than OK to dress sexy, but be sure not to dress too sexy. There are 3 main things you can show off : Clevage, legs or stomach. The rule of thumb is you can show only 1 of those three things, and no more. Otherwise, trust me, it's not attractive no matter how nice your body looks. In my opinion, the guy should offer to cook, prepare or buy dinner, tea, coffee, whatever it is - NOT YOU. However, that is a controversial subject, so to be moderate, I would say if he doesn't cover everything, he should at least "split it". If he's looking at the bill going "OK, you had the salad, and the side of this, and I had the..." trust me, you don't want him.

My feeling about humility is that it's about not just meeting someone 50% of the way... it's about meeting the whole 100% of the way with no expectations of anything in return. So yes, this is a test of not just his humility towards you but his genuine, earnest desire to connect with you. Those little things, like being on time, taking care of details, being actively interested in creating a great experience for you both, are what you're watching out for, and if he flails on that, it says all too much about him. It may seem insignificant, but it is not. First impressions really do count.

Of course, the same applies both ways. If he pays for dinner, cooks, or prepares the picninc, you should always thank him with your whole heart and offer to do the same thing next time... then do it! Show him your appreciation, for sure. This is not about inequality - it's about abundance, generosity of spirit, and gestures of affection.

My feeling is that if conversation is awkard at first, ask "high mileage questions" - not personal questions but questions that you can tell he will enjoy answering. Get him talking about whatever it is he loves to talk about, and listen actively. Always practice your active listening. Guys love to feel heard, and to feel like what they're saying is interesting. Foster genuine curiosity in yourself to ask interesting questions about what he thinks and feels. I will give the same advice to the guys when I do my article for men.

Those are my best tips. If I think of any more really important ones I will add them here.

Spring Avocado Lemon Pie *)))

So, there's this amazing raw food restaurant in downtown Vancouver, and I'm really super in love with their avocado pie!! Every time I've had it I've been like OH MY GOD this is rediculously yummy. But when I went on the candida diet I was like OH NO I can't have that any more, cause they sweeten it with honey and dates. So, I decided to talk to the people there and get their advice on how to make a candida safe version of the recipe. Of course, stevia is my all time bestest friend ever in this case.

Now I warn you, I think I made way too big of a pie :) I have a 9.75" x 2.75" springform pan, and I just aimed to fill the whole pan. So you might want to use a smaller pan of some kind and halve the recipe. I went a little crazy. But it was awesome. Now I need to find people to eat the pie with me.

Ingredients for the crust :

- 200g unsweetened coconut

- 400g brazil nuts (or any other nut or nut mix, go wild)

- 350g coconut oil

- 1 scoop powder stevia

- 4 tbsp's cinnamon

Ingredients for the filling :

- 13 avocados

- 5 lemons

- a couple splashes of (sugar free) concentrated lemon juice

- a scoop of stevia powder

Note : It's really easy to over-stevia but you don't want to under-stevia. It's kindof a personal taste thing so I suggest taking it easy, tasting regularly, and adding more as you stir and mix, if needed.

Directions :

First make the crust, by putting all your crust ingredients together in a food processor and press "GO". When that's done, put it all in your pan and use your hands to shape it to the enges of the pan. If you're finding it all too goopy or melty, you may need to put it all in teh fridge for a short time for the coconut oil to firm up.

Then, put all your avocado, the lemon juice from your lemons, and all the other ingredients for the filling in together in the food processor and press GO. Put all that in your pie, and put the whole thing in the friedge for at least a few hours, or overnight.

If you're using a springform pan like I did, be sure to use a butterknife or something to separate the crust from the pan before springing it out.

This is incredibly rich... very yummy.

I love Rachel *))) <3

Hi Rachel ... The problem is obviously deeply rooted, recurring and very serious, but I didn't realize what a major health problem it was becomming for me until last fall, when I started having strange symptoms that are only now starting to make sense as a manifestation of this issue. When I look back a few years, I can see those symptoms were beginning when I started developing my allergy to beer.

Although candida symptoms can take many different forms for different people (and for me they are many) the most serious issue that I have is hypersensitivity to foods. I react with gas and bloating to anything that is not SUPER perfectly good for me :) It's amazing!! This is definitely a blessing in disguise, as it has really taught me how to live a clean lifestyle and honestly, many things that I thought were acceptable are actually not... something which most people never find out until they are suffering from major health problems years down the road, which they may never pin to their diet.

Some of the symptoms that I've had include :

- voracious insatiable uncontrollable appetite for candida foods (listed below in the candida no-no's list)

- lethargy

- bloating / gas

- acne and other skin reactions (commonly to foods)

- increasing food allergies

It took me a long time from realizing the seriousness of the problem to being really and truly willing to go on the candida diet full on. I did so much research and tried so hard to find all these ways to not have to go on the diet... since the diet seemed so extreme and impossible to me and still did until only recently. What I realize now is that it was the "candida consciousness" that was running me, creating that illusion that the diet was too hard. When you have a candida overgrowth, your cravings will overpower you, but when you are on the diet and the candida is at bay, you will be able to do it easily using your normal willpower faculties. So the candida was holding me back psychologically as well as physically.

The best thing I have ever done was go on the candida diet, for the first time, in the strict, total and complete way (which I have never done before). There are very loose versions of the candida diet and very extreme ones. I think what you should choose will depend on what you feel works well for your candida in your body, and it will probably correspond with the severity of the overgrowth. Once I was on the diet, and taking an herbal supplement as well to help kill the fungus (I'm using Candida Stop by New Roots and Oil of Oregano), the cravings all went away and I suddenly felt like I had a healthy, normal relationship to food and eating for the first time in my life.

Here are the things I have to avoid on this diet :

- dairy products of any kind

- any and all sugar including fruit, honey, agave nectar, etc. (lemons & limes are OK)

- anything derived from yeast (including weird things like Xalitol which is in a lot of stuff)

- any processed grains from bread, to pasta, to quick oats, to white rice

- anything fermented such as alcohol

- vinegar, acetic acid, citric acid (unless it comes from lemons), or anything pickled

- restaurant sushi (the rice is covered in sugar and vinegar)

- mushrooms

- peanuts

Things I personally end up eating (although you could eat what you like) :

- fish is such an absolute staple food for me

- salads and steamed veggies

- chia pudding is the only dessert I have going so far... maybe hot chocolate if i'm good?

- all kinds of brown grains like quinoa, amaranth, brown rice

- i can have eggs too

- i make my own dressings with lemon, salt and herbs

- lemon water with stevia.... sooo good and alkalizing

- vegetable / fish soup

Lifestyle changes required :

- learning to cook a variety of dishes that you can eat

- getting used to not being able to eat at any restaurant, or having to order in the most rediculous way

- rejecting completely from your kitchen anything that doesn't work for your diet

- learning to keep your kitchen stocked with what you need to get through the day

- meal planning or cooking a lot of salad or soup for example in advance helps a lot

- drinking way more water than most people drink (I aim for 6L a day)

Things to keep in mind :

- Once you are on the diet, the diet is easy. It's when you make any small exceptions that the slippery slope takes over.

- It has been said in multiple places, and I am considering, that you do have to be on the diet strictly for 8 months or so before the problem will really go away. It can seem to be totally gone, but it will creep back if you haven't been on the job for long enough. That much I can tell you from experience.

- Probiotics are an essential component to any candida cleanse and help with prevention once you're through the hard part.

- Once you are full on in cleansing mode, you will start having candida die-off symptoms. It's important to get a good daily dose (one or two tbsp's) of good omega rich oils and drink a lot of water to help mediate these tremendous symptoms. It can include a lot of uncomfortable things especially vertigo, hives, etc. Thankfully these symptoms don't last too long.
